U S Alice Pack with Frame

Just back from a wee camping trip to test out this Bergen and a new tent I also bought from goarmy. I have to say out of all the medium to large Bergen’s I’ve used I think the Alice is my favourite I had about 15kilo worth of kit and was decently comfortable which is all I can ask for.
The pack is sturdy and can carry allot in the main compartment. You also have three large pouches on the front and three smaller pouches so there’s plenty of carrying capacity not to mention you can attach more storage to the pack using Alice clips.
5 stars would definitely recommend for someone looking for a good Bergen without wanting to spend silly money on something like a berghaus.

Super quality

Really good quality, very happy with the bergen alot comfier than i thought and very spacious. can fit alot in the main compartment and the 3 pouches on the front have alot of room aswell.

Overall very pleased with the bergen.

Excellent quality pack and frame, both real and bombproof and will last you a lifetime. The straps are a very good replica of LC1 straps, but not of the same quality. They are perfectly serviceable all the same. Overall I'm very happy with my pack

I have been planning a jungle trek which should last a few days, so I’ve been testing different equipment out. I bought one of these for my girlfriend, but found for what I need it for It is better than the one that I paid six times the price for. The pockets are a good size, so you can put food, cooking equipment, waterproof and other things she may need to get to hand quickly. It’s not waterproof so it needs bag liners and the top you can easily lose small things out of, so long as you put small things in the outside pockets large stuff like clothing bedding camping equipment in the main compartment food cooking and smaller things in the side pockets. It’s perfect. It feels very light on your back. It sits above your hips and aids the prevention of back sweating. It’s also very easy to drop when fully loaded. I’ve bought a second one for myself now leaving the burgen I paid £400 for redundant.

Brilliant bit of kit robust but comfortable to carry.

I have opened it all up its much bigger than I thought it wud be. Many pockets at a good size. Will have to what it's like when I use it

Upon recieving this pack I was pleasently suprised to find that it is a large A.L.I.C.E. pack as i was under the impression it was a medium pack. It is in excellent condition, the fram has a few scuffs but that is to be excpected and there is no structural damage. I am exited to use this pack and will definitely be using goarmy in the future as the shipoing was fast and the goods were in great condition

When my ALICE pack arrived, the pack itself was in a almost new condition. All the straps and padding were brand new! Delivery was very fast from ordering to delivery to my home.

Bought this for a Ghostbusters Proton Pack, probably like a few others. The frame is the LC2 version but can be easily modified to replicate the LC1 more, including a bit a black spray paint.

I bought a this for the frame and it’s great, exactly what I needed. Bonus is the bag is great too so have something to throw kit in.

Had one of these when I was in scouts in the 1980's. Absolutely bullet proof rucksack. No idea what happened to it so once I saw it on Go Army, I just had to have it. Great value, prompt delivery and rucksack is in excellent condition.

I bought it for the pack frame and straps, as it's cheaper to buy the whole pack.

Exactly as it said on the tin with the added bonus of professional and human service. The only downside was with the address on the label meant it went to my neighbour (i blame the software) (or the werebunnies) - not a major issue, though.

Top tip: if you buy one of theses don't drop it on your toe😁

This is a brilliant piece of kit! I used one in international & inter unit military competitions in the 80’s and found it far superior to the UK issue Bergen!

The ALICE system (All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) is nearly fifty years old and has been superseded in military service by the MOLLE system, but this rucksack is still a great load-carrier. I find this LC-1 Medium pack to be pretty comfortable with an impressively robust aluminium frame and a great carrying capacity. The trick is to pack it with heavier items closer to your back and then fill out the space behind with e.g. clothing. The drawbacks of the 50-year-old design chiefly show in the pack’s closing system and shoulder straps.

A rugged and reliable classic set up. Yes there are more modern Bergman’s on the market but the Alice pack has been around for a long time for good reason. It’s rugged external framed construction will never let you down. It’s large single compartment will take all the kit that you need for multi night camping plus the well thoughts out external pockets will hold all those essential items that you need quick access to.
A perfect bushcraft pack for £50. It’s a win, win. You might find it for the same price on EBay but you will pay half the cost again for postage.
