Despatches March 2025

Hello all and welcome back to this now bi-weekly newsletter from GoArmy keeping you abreast of what’s going on in the company and the wider world.

For those of you keeping score, you’ll know that the warmer months are fast approaching. Now this means a number of things to a number of folks but for those of us with outdoor hobbies it means we’re back in season sooner rather than later. Now is the time where we can begin to ditch our arctic bags for lightweight bags or in Scotlands case ditch your 3 arctic bags, moving down to only 2 arctic bags. However we are not quite into the warmer months yet, so sure to check out our WINTER SALE to grab our last remaining winter deals.

Much can change with in a few weeks you know, as I write this we have just received a massively delivery of army surplus that has traveled to us all the way from Germany which now required to be unpacked, graded, catalogued and sorted. It can sometimes feel like a never ending battle of attrition simply trying to find space for all the military surplus. We are lucky to have had our new pallet racking completed recently. This new warehouse overhaul has allowed the luxury of verticality. We now have 7 meters of vertical space to play with allowing us the freedom to build our offering of army surplus like an obelisk protruding into the heavens.
We have also manage to secure a great deal with Altberg, nice that eh?
We now are (certainly as far as I’m aware) the only UK stockist of the new altberg krieger. Initially made on contract for the danish army these altberg boots seemed to have been made in surplus and so we snapped em up soon as we could.

We will also be looking to receive a rather large shipment of military clothing and equipment of a more vintage nature. For a long time GoArmy has stocked predominantly modern and British clothing and equipment. Makes sense really seeing as we live in both the present and Britain respectively. However, we are looking to take in some vintage clothing, European army surplus including some eastern bloc Cold War goodies. This will start to become available in the coming weeks.

As the days continue to get longer and the sun becomes more of a common occurrence, we can look forward to getting back to things like fishing, camping, hiking, and of course reenactment. Being a military surplus store we do cater to the reenactment community and I for one am very excited to get back to my hobby for this exciting season with many great reenactment shows coming up all over United Kingdom.

So should you find yourself in need for anything for the upcoming season. You know where to find us. Go online, or hell, come in store for a visit and ensure that you’re adequately prepared for this coming season
