Grading Explained

Used items
Used kit comes directly from military surplus and is graded as follows:

  • Super Grade — Unissued or unused condition. The item is like new, but may not include its original packaging.
  • Grade 1 — Previously issued and lightly used. Fully functional and ready for immediate use.
  • Grade 2 — Heavier signs of use. Still serviceable, but may have visible defects such as small rips, stains, or minor damage to zips or fastenings.

New items
All new stock is sourced from suppliers worldwide and arrives factory-new, usually in original packaging.

MTP Basha/Shelters
Original MTP (current issue) British Army basha, tent, tarp, poncho - whatever you want to call it. This is a fantastic little item ideal for a lot of setups and with attachment loops all around the edge of it. Works well on its own to provide shelter or over a hammock. Has reinforced steel eyelet attachment points, this lightweight and easy to carry basha, will keep you dry in even the most severe of downpours.

  • Measures 256 x 222cm
  • Metal eyelets running down each side - 12 in total
  • Cordura nylon loops on each corner - 4 in total
  • Works well with hammocks
  • Approx Weight: 1kg
  • Made from PU Coated Ripstop Polyester and silconed seams

  • Supergrade: Like new condition
  • Grade 1: Used, no rips or tears
  • Grade 2: Used, May contain Rips or Tears

MTP basha - awesome bit of kit

Delivery was very quick from Goarmy and the condition of the basha was excellent - if it hadn’t been for the pieces of Paracord attached to some of the tie-out points I would have said it was unused. I won’t go into the merits of a British army basha as there are plenty of good reviews on YouTube that do that very well but I am very happy with my purchase and will be carrying it in my rucksack whenever I’m out hiking. It evened doubled as a handy shelter off the side of my Defender last weekend to give some well-needed sun-shade to the dog on a trip to the Lake District. Quality bit of kit in top order. Thank you goarmy. 👍🏻

Bomb proof!

Not for your light weight wild campers! Yes I have the 3M x 3M DD tarp and very versatile it is. However always fancied this one, brand new, well made and built with strength in mind, it can be used as a stretcher. I am a ground dweller have not tried a hammock yet and also vertically challenged so its size compared to the DD tarp not important. Had a wild camp with this and nailed down including a couple of poles and cordage this is going nowhere! Plenty of room for me and my kit.

First Class, I was expecting a beat up well used Basha Tent/Tarp but to my surprise when it arrived it was virtually new, no visible sign of wear and tear, just that wonderful smell of mothballs which took me back to the day's standing in clothing stores waiting for something to be issued (never forgot that smell) back to the item, sturdy, hard wearing, reliable, what more could you want for an evening under the stars or a wet and windy hillside, even a snow covered wood, you can always rely on your basha

Military surplus comes in bulk lots — we can’t choose sizes.

Smaller sizes are more common; larger ones are rare and sell out fast.

Restocks depend on military releases, so they can take time.
