Used items
Used kit comes directly from military surplus and is graded as follows:

  • Super Grade — Unissued or unused condition. The item is like new, but may not include its original packaging.
  • Grade 1 — Previously issued and lightly used. Fully functional and ready for immediate use.
  • Grade 2 — Heavier signs of use. Still serviceable, but may have visible defects such as small rips, stains, or minor damage to zips or fastenings.

New items
All new stock is sourced from suppliers worldwide and arrives factory-new, usually in original packaging.

This is the 2nd one of these I've bought and it's made of completely different material to the First? This one is made of a cordura/canvas type whereas the First is made from a thick denim like material... Both good so who cares?Not me I dont!

M70 Alpine Backpack. Excellent service

Good retro piece of kit with a good modification for straps . Using as a daily bag . Only change to make is the straps are not adjustable but it's easy and cheap ( less than £2 ) to add two quality stainless steel 3 bar buckles which should allow me to adjust. You can do it cheaper if you go with plastic. When it's done I'll add pics

Superb bit of kit

If you have the M70 Alpenflage jacket, then this is a fantastic piece of kit!! I was that impressed, I very quickly ordered a second one!! The jacket itself has plenty of pocket storage, but when this backpack is clipped on, it more than doubles your carrying capacity!! I use the jacket for wildfowling, and now, thanks to Goarmy, I have managed to a source a couple of these backpacks, and I will no longer always need to take an additional rucksack out on the Merse👍👍👍

M70 Backpack

This is the one i wanted as it still has the proper jacket mounting clips in place & not the modded sewn on straps which cause the pack to sag low when wearing , tough and well made although not water repellent / proof but combined with the jacket gives you masses of storage and carrying capacity , built to last and so useful for , bushcraft , hiking , fishing or pretty much anything that needs alot of equipment carrying or close to hand , i find it useful for photography , excellent service and safe well packed delivery :-)

Cheap and performs as such

Firstly this is not the modded version with proper straps you can find elsewhere, this is the original version designed to be clipped onto the shoulders of the accompanying field jacket and as such you have no straps and have to improvise your own out of the material provided.
Holds a good amount but has no form so it flaps about and is best kept to a light load as the straps are not comfortable.
Other point to note is it's like denim and will drink up rain with no regard for what's inside.
If you like the camo nostalgia then it's worth the tiny pricetag but if you want function then spend a little more on something else.

Smaller sizes are more common; larger ones are rare and sell out fast.
