Used items
Used kit comes directly from military surplus and is graded as follows:

  • Super Grade — Unissued or unused condition. The item is like new, but may not include its original packaging.
  • Grade 1 — Previously issued and lightly used. Fully functional and ready for immediate use.
  • Grade 2 — Heavier signs of use. Still serviceable, but may have visible defects such as small rips, stains, or minor damage to zips or fastenings.

New items
All new stock is sourced from suppliers worldwide and arrives factory-new, usually in original packaging.

Dutch Army Goretex Hooped DPM Bivvy Bag
This bivvy bag is manufactured from Gore-Tex-like material making it water-proof, wind-proof and vapour permeable (breathable) and includes a zipped mosquito barrier that can be used when the head-end zip is open for ventilation, also great low profile tent.

The L-shaped access opening can be closed with two zippers. The specially designed storm flap ensures that the zippers are sealed to be absolutely waterproof.

These come in 2 sizes, large and extra large. The Extra Large is wider at the shoulders and but still retains the manufacturer tag of large.

2007 issue gore tex material which is in perfect condition, seam tape is perfect and the DWR is effective. The only negative is the supplied hoop pole kinked in one section as it was basically straight when assembled. I had to order a replacement pole.

So far have ibky tested it ince in light rain. It seemed to hold up well. But if water pools on the bag it can seep through. Apart from that it works fine.

Ordering from GoArmy is taking a real chance. The items don’t consistently match the grade they give it. If you order two or more items with the same grading, one will always be in far worse condition than the other. With this order, one bivy has burn holes in it. Second time this has happened to me now with GoArmy. It’s like they’re offloading poor stock to people that don’t live in UK, knowing they won’t return anything because of the shipping costs. This is not the case with other surplus sellers I’ve dealt with in Europe.

Great Bivvy bag. Packs small and doesn’t add weight. Once sealed in you’re safe from the wether. Room for boots and small items inside the hood. When the wind and rain is howling round the side of poncho it’s a god send.

Excellent bivi bag.

The seller was really helpful in getting this to me asap. I have used it nightly since purchase 2 weeks ago. I have been rained on several nights and this has kept me dry and warm. I've had no condensation moisture dampening my sleep bag. For an A grade bag it was in superb condition!! I couldn't find fault with it and well priced too! I recommend goarmy for surplus military equipment purchases.

Smaller sizes are more common; larger ones are rare and sell out fast.

Restocks depend on military releases, so they can take time.
