British Army PCS Softie Field Jacket

Very good value for money and perfect for this time of year.

This jacket so far has been fantastic at around 4°c and I can’t wait to see how it performs at colder temperatures. It is like being inside a sleeping bag that is so warm and comfortable.

Not my first purchase from GoArmy and definitely not my last. Arrived promptly and this was grade one but more near perfect.

Great jacket, I had to send back because xxl was too big for me, a large would probably have been better, but non that size available, pity.

I have been looking for this product for a while so I was really happy to have found it. Delivery was very quick; communication was excellent and the product was exactly as stated. This will be the first place i look next time and would recommend others to do the same

Perfect jacket for out and about. ‘Super Grade’ turned out to be brand new. Wired roll-away hood and the whole thing packs down into its own pocket. Forget a fancy belay jacket, get one of these.

First impressions are I Like it! Lightweight warm an as I have the PCS trousers I just had to get the Jacket. Sizing I'm a 37" chest but I want to have a hoodie an lightweight fleece on underneath as I'm out sat down fishing all night So I went for Large 180/100. Now this jacket I would say is a Small Large! So if you are a large you need to go up in Sizing. Well please with it an a nice Colour as well. Top Service by Goarmy so 5 Stars all round from me.

I may blather on a bit here but given the need for quality kit & how it can be awkward choosing the right size with certain military items I hope I'll be forgiven & this will be of help to some folk.
SUPER GRADE (New) PCS Softie, 180/100 (Large). I'm 5`8" tall+ 42" chest & gut & this size is perfect for me & doesn't look or feel baggy with just a thermal base layer.
I next threw on a work shirt & a thick fleece over the base layer & it was still smart & comfy without being restrictive in any way.
To max out I added a hoody to the mix & although well padded out by then it was still just as smart & comfy & still without any restriction in my movements.
To finish (& with a right old sweat on) I tried my size XL Gore-Tex jacket over the top of the lot & I'm chuffed to say it was a sweet fit & again with no restriction in movement.
Much of the good fit with multiple garments is down to the smooth slippery fabric that doesn't snag or grip on other fabrics and the ability for these softies to compress down.
Obviously all the under clobber I tried above would only be needed in extremes as these do a cracking job over a thin layer alone in most situations, but it's reassuring knowing that even though the correct size fits well & looks smart with just a thin top beneath it, it'll also allow you to layer up big time if ever needed.
I got my original one in my usual size of XL and the thing is huge so it's very loose & baggy on it's own & too bulky under a top coat, so when I spotted them on sale at GoArmy I pounced as Large seem to be the hardest size to get hold of & can cost in the region of £50 to £70 new.
If you want an excellent thermal jacket that can be used in a number of ways then I guarantee these will do the job.
GoArmy where of course spot on with delivery as usual, despite undergoing a move to a new premises.

Bought mine and have been wearing near enough every day, light and has good fitting. My martial arts teacher bought one as well so that’s a fair sign of a good choice.

This jacket is ideal for my outdoor walks around the fells, use it for camps as well. Keeps you warm and is lightweight enough to carry in the your rucksack.
