Austrian Army M65 Field Jacket

After finding item for sale on E-bay, I initially sent a message asking if the jackets were in good condition and did they come with the Austrian Army badge on the left shoulder.
The reply was that the jackets were like new and that some came with a badge and some didn't. So, at buy it now, sent a message requesting one with a badge. After e-mail confirmation of purchase I requested my preference once again with one with a patch.
Dispatch and delivery time was quick and jacket was like new..... but nevertheless received a jacket without a Austrian badge!

A load of jacket for a little price. The fit is true to the size guide and allows a fleece/heave jumper to be worn underneath. It's a brand new jacket with the arm insignia removed, and I'm still stunned at the absolute bargain price. Definitely recommended.

This truelly is a great jacket! I have been after a reasonably priced, good quality M65 jacket since my last one was left in Botswana!, and this is it. Brand new, no odour, fits well, & lined (lining is not removable so this is an autumn/winter jacket). I bought a Super Grade size 44 (XL-104 to 108) and there is ample room for a jumper over a shirt and without being too loose just over a shirt. Delivered in a timely manner. Extremely pleased.

This is a quite exceptional jacket. One reviewer bemoaned the removal of the Austrian Army Badge. Mine never had one on. In one of the hip pockets was the original Quality Control Certificate listing 15 key instructions in German but translated into Czech (seems the garment was probably made in the Czech Republic). It is signed off in Czech, dated 31/1/1994 with the comment 'Nevyhovuje / Entspricht nicht', i.e.'Does not conform' but there is no clue as to why. The jacket seems perfect and is in mint condition, amazing. It's effectively double-skinned and the fabric looks very durable, described as 'Oel und wasserabweisend' (oil and water repellent). Instructions read 'Nach Reinigung impraegnieren' (reproof after cleaning) so it may have been treated with some water repellency agent. The rain does bead off the fabric. It's a lovely jacket to wear with pull-up collar and concealed hood. I'm 39" chest, 5' 9", generally a medium but I went for Large Regular (96u100 III / IV )and it's a perfect fit - comes half way down to my knee. Buttons and zips are top quality. This is the way jackets used to be made! It's a real gem, a bit heavy for those used to lighter materials and goretex membranes but I just love it. Delivery from GoArmy was quick, garment was well packaged. Excellent service.

If however you want to be warm, and protected from the rain for long periods. Have tested for a few hours but likely would survive a whole day. This is definately the jacket for you!

Mine was brand new, unfortunately the insignia was removed but apart from that In perfect condition. I wondered if this is the goretex Version? I can't find a tag saying so, however the water beads off without soaking in. I'm very happy with it, perfect waterproof windproof layer with decent pockets, strong zips and buttons. Allows movement whilst coming down near the middle of my thigh. I got XL long Version and am bigger guy nearly 6 foot and beer belly. Plenty of room for jumper underneath

Its heavy, solid, reliable, all round what I was looking for.

Not too much insulation, will need under layers on colder days
