Austrian army, half-lined boots. Issued to mountain troops.

Beautifully made, heavy boots. Thick leather, stitched on, ski-binder compatible, thick soles. With regular Leder-Gris Extreme treatment, they should last indefinitely. 40 years old, far better than today’s boots. Bought 2 pairs.

Grade 1 gave 4 stars as there were spaces in upper parts of sole where water ingress could cause problems,I should have filled them before I used restoration wax on them, hopefully the wax that got in there will stop that happening.

Very comfortable, soles look like they have been replaced. There’s a very slight gap between the sole and boot. Might let water in. Will see if a bit of glue will be sufficient.

Smaller sizes are more common; larger ones are rare and sell out fast.

How are items graded

We sell both new and used military goods.

New items

All new stock is sourced from suppliers worldwide and arrives factory-new, usually in original packaging.

Used items

Used kit comes directly from military surplus and is graded as follows:

Super Grade — Unissued or unused condition. The item is like new, but may not include its original packaging.
Grade 1 — Previously issued and lightly used. Fully functional and ready for immediate use.
Grade 2 — Heavier signs of use. Still serviceable, but may have visible defects such as small rips, stains, or minor damage to zips or fastenings.
