British Army 100L DPM Bergen Long Back

Arrived in great time, especially surprised considering they use Evri as courier.

This was very well described on the website and is perfect for weekend wild camping adventures which I do every weekend.

Yes the rucksack is used, yes it has some marks on it (including the previous owner's name and number) but these give is such a history and I can't wait get out with this and give it a new life.

The Bergen was dirtier and more used than I’d have hoped, but having served in the infantry myself I know what they get put through.

Overall it’s a solid piece of kit and I’m happy with the condition - a good shower should get it clean.

One detachable side pouch is new and un issued, but the other looks the same as the Bergen (faded and dirtier) so they’ll take some time to balance up.

The next day (ordered Monday) delivery came on Thursday - So it definitely wasn’t next day. I had a message with a 2 hour time slot for Wednesday 12:30-14:30) I waited in and they didn’t come - until Thursday.
So it’s 2 out of 5 for the courier from me I’m afraid.

Loaded up for 7 days on the cape wrath trail , 22kg of kit and went over mountains, through rivers in spate, endless boggy marshes, heat, driving rain, minus temperatures, snow, ravines etc and it performed exceptionally apart from two issues. Padding could be better in shoulders ( I used a pair of gloves to help) and no tie clip on the chest. Built to last though.

100l bergen with frame, used in good condition, loads of room, with 2 detachable bags on the side, I bought this item for milsim use and it is everything I expected and more. I have no complaints with the product.
The whole process of buying of goarmy.co.uk was straight forward and with little fuss, delivery was quick.
I would consider purchasing off them again, in fact it will be the first place I visit. I can't recommend enough.

I bought this bergan for my son who is an army cadet. The bergan is very spacious and, although used previously, it was very clean. Great value for money. Happy son!

Apart from one of lid's front straps being significantly shorter than it's counterpart, making pulling my lid closed over a fully packed bag more difficult than it needs to be, however, some chest pressure fixes the issue. Otherwise, a very lovely example of a bag that will now last as it is for many years.

I love the Bergen, can't fault it. So robust and does exactly what it says on the tin. Fits all my usual gear in for 2 nights wild camping with ample room to spare. Only thing that let it down was Hermes delivery service. 2-3 days turned into 6.. royal mail would of been a faster cheaper option

Absolutely awesome bit of kit.
Had mine a few years now use it daily.
Lots of useful storage pockets as you'd expect.
Removable side pouches very handy.
If keeping.clothes in pre bag them as the insides can be abit flakes but apart from that its sweet as!

100% recommend this product and GoArmy.

Having just taken delivery of this 100l bergen. Firstly the exemplary service is outstanding. 2 days from ordering and delivery . The product is fantastic can't fault it. Super grade quality and superb customer service from Matt

Notwithstanding the original description, whereby, one expects minor details, conforming to a grade1 description, this product did arrive with 3 defects.
1. The rivet holding the central vertical bar of the aluminum frame was broken off and requires replacement to operate with a full load.
2. The left side upper clasp for the side pocket was snapped off and cannot be replaced without re- stitching. This means the zip takes the load of the pocket.
3. The yoke, although newer than the Bergen has a plastic clasp missing, with the stitching undone.
It is what it is and will still fulfill my requirements after some minor repairs, but does fall short of Grade 1 condition.
Great and efficient service all the same, so will buy again.

Replacement for my old one which had lasted 40 years. In good condition and well pleased with service and quality.

As advertised, very nice piece of kit. Obvious signs of wear however one thing I was disappointed to find was the bottom clip that sits on the belly button was half broken, still works however I don’t have a lot of faith it will hold when I take it in the field. Only way I see to replace it is removing the stitching unfortunately. Otherwise everything about the bag is great and haven’t found any notable defects. Will keep checking this store for more stuff to buy.
