Used items
Used kit comes directly from military surplus and is graded as follows:
- Super Grade — Unissued or unused condition. The item is like new, but may not include its original packaging.
- Grade 1 — Previously issued and lightly used. Fully functional and ready for immediate use.
- Grade 2 — Heavier signs of use. Still serviceable, but may have visible defects such as small rips, stains, or minor damage to zips or fastenings.
New items
All new stock is sourced from suppliers worldwide and arrives factory-new, usually in original packaging.

A Brief History of the British Army Arctic Bag
The design of the British Army Arctic Sleeping Bag was born out of operational necessity during the Cold War. British troops deployed to NATO's northern flank in Norway required gear capable of withstanding the unforgiving Arctic tundra. Traditional down sleeping bags, while warm, failed catastrophically if they got wet.
The MoD developed this synthetic hollow-fibre system to ensure that even if a soldier climbed into the bag wet, or if condensation built up inside a snow hole, the bag would still trap body heat. Storage: Never store your sleeping bag compressed inside a stuff sack for long periods. This crushes the hollow fibres and creates cold spots. Hang it in a wardrobe or store it loose in a large mesh storage sack.

Washing: If the bag gets muddy, allow it to dry and brush the dirt off. For a full clean, use a front-loading commercial washing machine on a gentle, cool cycle (30°C) using a technical fabric cleaner. Do not use standard fabric softeners, as they coat the fibres and reduce breathability.

Drying: Tumble dry on the lowest possible heat setting or air-dry flat. Shake the bag periodically during the drying process to restore its natural loft.

Please note that these items are genuine military surplus and may have been previously issued to serving personnel. We grade our stock strictly so you know exactly what you are receiving:

Super Grade: Near-new or unissued condition. Show little to no signs of field use, with immaculate fabric and full loft.

Grade 1: Previously used by serving personnel. May show light signs of field wear, faint scuff marks, or have names/service numbers written on the labels. They are 100% fully functional, with no tears, and zips are thoroughly checked.

Size Medium measures head to toe 180cm.
Size Medium measures 72cm at the top widest point
Size Large measures head to toe at 204cm.
Size Large measures 74cm at the top widest point
Size XL measures head to toe at 204cm.
Size XL measures 78cm at the top widest point
Please note that the XL may have a Large size label on it (given by the manufacturer). This is because certain years they manufactured the size Large slightly bigger than normal, for this reason we have given the XL label ourselves.
Grades:
- Super Grade: Like new condition
- Grade 1: Used, no rips or tears
- Grade 2: May have small holes or rips
